Nicole Bajcar, MA, BCBA
Nicole is a PhD student in Health Professions Education Research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto and a research fellow at the Wilson Centre. She received her Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis from Brock University. For her master’s thesis, she assessed the effectiveness of a modified TAGteach procedure to increase the accurate and fluent performance of gymnastics skills via synchronous video conferencing under the supervision of Dr. Zonneveld. She is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) with over 5 years of experience working in various roles in the field of applied behaviour analysis, including as a researcher and clinician. As a researcher and clinician, she is passionate about contributing to the assessment and evaluation of various methods to teach clinical skills to new clinicians during supervised practice, the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, and the application of applied behaviour analysis in sports and fitness. Her current research interests look to explore the rapid deployment of higher education online learning modules to teach complex clinical skills and the implications it has on clinical practice across various healthcare professions. Nicole is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International and the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Health, Sport, and Fitness Canada Special Interest Group.
